Originally, modern vehicles have a relatively long reaction time between the moment the accelerator pedal is pressed and the moment the throttle body opens to accelerate the vehicle. This reaction time is even more important on powerful and sporty vehicles in order to create a more progressive, more reassuring acceleration effect. In order to correct this undesirable effect for those looking after performance, Injen has created a plug and play solution to adjust this "lag" effect. The X-Pedal Pro pedal box, specifically designed for VAG Group vehicles, fits without modification on the original electronic harness to customise the throttle control system via several modes.

The SPORT mode, adjustable in 9 levels, will increase the pedal sensitivity by 5% per level for sport use. The ECO mode will be configurable on 7 levels for fuel-saving. DRAG mode will completely eliminate the response time for a colossal reduction in reaction time. The ANTI-SKID mode will increase the response time for easier driving on slippery surfaces (e.g. snow) and finally the ANTI-THEFT mode will completely disable the accelerator pedal. Note that a STOCK mode is also present for a return to the original.
