This alloy, non resonated, boost hard pipe replaces the resonated outlet pipe runing from the turbo down the left hand side of the engine on the VAG 1.8T 20V 210 / 225 engines. The removal of the noise resonator allows unobstructed flow on the discharge side of the turbo.
