The pipes that originally connect the intercooler to the throttle body on the N55 engines of the BMW M2 / 135i / 235i F2x and 335i / 435i F3x are made of low-quality plastic with a relatively narrow diameter that does not support the pressure properly. With this in mind, Injen Technology has created a kit to replace these elements with 76mm / 63mm diameter 6061-T1 aluminium pipes featuring a 1/8″ NPT port to allow the connection of a water / methanol injector. The quality of the flow transfers and the reduction in turbulence will allow a particularly significant gain in response time on modified vehicles !
